Two-in-one sea trial and parallel construction, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has a new speed in the New Year!

One node after another has been completed, and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has reached a new speed in the New Year!

Triumph of H1544 Ship Triumph

he ship is the first 190,000 dwt liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel Capesize bulk carrier built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. Since January 12th, the project team of the ship has completed the work related to refueling in 4 days, and has successively completed the inspection of key tests such as generators, boilers, and main engine LNG gas mode mooring tests, and started on January 25th. Trial work, on February 5, completed the oil and gas combo sea trial mission triumphantly.

This type of ship is a blockbuster product launched by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in the field of new energy ships - a new generation of LNG dual-fuel power bulk carrier, using LNG fuel, equipped with a total of 2 C-type LNG fuel tanks, and the gas endurance reaches 20,000 nautical miles. It has the characteristics of advanced technology, energy saving and environmental protection.

Faced with challenges such as the impact of the Spring Festival holiday and manpower shortage, the project team deployed in advance, made overall plans, and organized various productions in an orderly manner. During the trial voyage, the project team fully absorbed the experience of ships of the same type to ensure that all inspection items passed the application for inspection smoothly, and won unanimous praise from the ship owner and ship inspection.

Ship H1534 started construction

On February 6, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 7000TEU container ship H1534 built by Singapore Sea Consortium. The ship was designed in detail by Shanghai Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation. It uses MAN 7G80ME-C10.5 main engine and meets TIER â…¢ and EEDI â…¢ specifications.

The ship is the first ship that Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding will start construction in 2023, and it is also the last ship in a series of 12 7000TEU container ships built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Singapore Sea Consortium Company. All production work is being implemented as planned.

Host hoisting

On February 3, the hoisting of the first 7000TEU H1550 ship and H1551 main engine built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in parallel was completed, shortening the hoisting time from the original 3 days to 2 days, creating the shortest time record for the hoisting of the container ship main engine of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding .

The successful completion of the hoisting of the main engine of the first 7000TEU container ship provides a strong guarantee for improving the integrity of the container ship's undocking engine room, and wins valuable time for the subsequent shafting alignment.
